When to use reminders
Use reminders when you do not want to miss salary, rent, subscriptions, loans, credit card payments, or bills. Daily reminders can also help if you enter small expenses often.
Open Settings, then Reminders. The screen includes:
- Income reminders.
- Expense reminders.
- Daily reminder.
For incoming money
Use income reminders for salary, freelance payments, rental income, or other expected incoming money.
If expected income is missing, check the entry date, repeat setting, and paid status.
For upcoming payments
Use expense reminders for rent, card payments, loans, subscriptions, dues, and bills.
Expense reminders are most useful when planned expenses are entered before they happen. Keep Paid status off until the payment is actually complete.
Daily reminder
Use the daily reminder when you want a regular habit of reviewing Cashflow. This can be helpful if you add small expenses often or want to check whether upcoming payments still look correct.
Set up reminders
Open Reminders
Go to Settings, then Reminders.
Enable the reminder types you need
Turn on income reminders, expense reminders, daily reminder, or only the ones that match your use.
Check related settings
Review Holidays, Weekends, recurring entries, and Month start day if reminders seem to land in an unexpected planning period.
If reminders do not feel right
Start by checking whether the entry itself is correct. Confirm type, date, repeat rule, paid status, and selected month. Then check Settings, Holidays and Weekends, and device notification permissions.
Do not use reminders as the only record of a payment. The entry in Cashflow is the source of your finance tracking.
